Welcome to Överhörnäs Camping, perhaps the coziest campsite along the entire Northern Coast of Sweden, situated as a peaceful retreat right by the banks of the Moälven river. As a family-owned campsite with 60 spacious pitchesand 9 charming cabins, we offer a personal atmosphere where both relaxation and adventure take center stage.

After a day filled with experiences, you can settle down in our fully licensed restaurant. Enjoy great food and drinks in a cozy setting with a view towards the river. We are perfectly located just 9 km south of Örnsköldsvik – an ideal base for exploring the stunning nature of the High Coast world herritage, visiting the Fjällräven Outlet, or as a convenient and comfortable stop along your journey.

Status Update: Our New Service Building is Open! 🌲✨

We are delighted to announce that the doors to our brand-new service building are open! This means that key parts of the facility are fully operational for the season:

• Kitchen & Dishwashing: The fresh, new kitchen is ready for your camping meals.

• Showers & Shower Rooms: Our new showers are fully open, providing the exact same capacity for shower facilities that we have offered in previous seasons.

What are we finishing up right now? To make our campground even better, we are currently putting the final touches on the remaining sections. What is left to complete as soon as possible are an additional 3 combined toilets with showers, which will supplement the shower spaces already in use.

Toilets and laundry during this final phase:

• Our separate toilet building is in full operation as usual on the grounds.

• The laundry room is temporarily located inside the reception building during this period. The first 1,5h is included in the fee. Following time slots are 50SEK/ 1,5h.

Major Investment for 2026: A Brand-New Service Building!

We are incredibly proud to present this season's big news – a state-of-the-art, winterized service building planned for completion during the beginning of the 2026 season. With this investment, we are significantly increasing comfort and offering features such as:

• More showers and toilets: Increased capacity with modern combination spaces for a smoother stay.
• Upgraded kitchen: Refined dishwashing facilities, both indoors and outdoors, for an easier everyday life.
• Improved laundry room: A bright and pleasant laundry area adapted for longer visits and diaper changes for the little ones.
• Dog shower: A long-awaited addition located in close proximity to the building for our four-legged guests.

As the building is winterized, we are taking a major step toward our vision of extending the season and welcoming you to the High Coast's coziest campsite for a larger part of the year.
